The contemporary global order is such that it makes things at our disposal challenging-yet-rewarding. The professional approach that we, at ARKA JAIN University, Jharkhand, adopt towards providing quality higher education to our students ensures instilling the right set of fundamentals in them.
ARKA JAIN University was established in 2017 by the Jharkhand State Legislature under “The ARKA JAIN University Act” and is recognized by UGC. It is the first state private university in the Kolhan region (East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan).
AJU has been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in the first cycle — the first state private university in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal to have this distinction.
The University has its roots in the prestigious JAIN Group, Bengaluru, with 77-plus educational institutions under its fold, and is mentored by JAIN (Deemed-to-Be-University), Bengaluru — a NAAC A++ and NIRF Top-100 HEI.
The University holds affiliations, recognitions and memberships from statutory and government bodies including AICTE, BCI, PCI, OCI, INC, JNRC, AIU, ASCO India, and is ISO (EOMS 21001:2018) certified. AJU was ranked 3rd among Top-15 Emerging Private Universities in India in the Outlook iCare University Ranking 2023.
With 175-plus faculty members and a dedicated Research & Development Cell, programmes span engineering, technology, management, commerce, biotechnology, pharmacy, optometry, allied healthcare, nursing, English, mass communication, fashion design, law, and research.
Students enjoy extra-curricular and co-curricular avenues through cultural and technical fests such as Aagaaz and Technika, and annual events including Roshni, Holi Invasion, Runbhoomi, Saraswati Pooja, Yuva, Navotsav, Aarambh, JAIN Premier League, Roo-b-roo and Rukhsat. The annual excursion Caarvaan helps them experience diverse cultural settings across the country.

About the Vice Chancellor
Dr. Easwaran Iyer holds a Double Doctorate in Management from India and the USA, along with M. Phil, MBA, PGDBM, M. Com, LLB and B. Com (Hons). He brings 48 years of experience — 29 years in industry and 19 years in academia.
As Vice Chancellor of ARKA JAIN University, he has co-authored 32 journal publications and 8 research publications in indexed journals. He is a member of the All India Management Association (AIMA) and an NAAC Assessor, having served as member, Coordinator and presently as Chairperson for NAAC assessments across Higher Education Institutions. He has been honoured with the Best Teacher award from Rotary for three consecutive years (Bangalore and Guwahati), and is Member Trustee of the India Economic Association and member of the National Human Resource Development Network.
Previously he served as Pro-Vice Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru; Head of the Chancellor’s Advisory Board, JAIN (Deemed-to-Be-University); and Member of the President’s Advisory Board, Jain Group of Institutions.
